A total of 4 primary school subjects are studied: German, mathematics and general studies as well as one other subject. One of these subjects is studied in depth as a core subject, the other three are combined in the area of elementary school didactics. The following core subjects can be chosen: German, mathematics, Sorbian, English, Protestant religion, ethics, art, music and sport. If you choose German, mathematics or Sorbian as your core subject, your fourth subject is music, art, sports or handicrafts.

Учебный план программы обучения "Elementary School Teaching"
The aim of the course is to acquire educational, specialist and elementary school didactic as well as practical skills, which are required as a basis for fulfilling the educational and educational mandate in the elementary school teacher's office. The course is intended to create the prerequisites for taking up the preparatory service for teaching at primary schools. Specifically, the focus is on the following:
- Theory-based reflection on pedagogical events in elementary school education
- Designing lessons and education in elementary school
- Diagnosing, assessing and advising in elementary school
- Professional communication
- Reflecting on, evaluating and developing your own professional, pedagogical and elementary school didactic skills
The teaching degree can be expanded to include an additional subject (teaching degree extension subject) in addition to the subjects already studied in the same teaching degree.
The students choose a subject (core subject) and the area of elementary school didactics (other three subjects).
The structure of the course includes
- The study of educational sciences including primary school education (40 CP),
- The study of a subject (German, Sorbian, mathematics, English, ethics, Protestant religion, art, music or sport) (50 CP) and its didactics (15 CP),
- The study of elementary school didactics (the other three subjects) (25 CP each, a total of 75 CP),
- practical school studies (25 CP),
- Supplementary Studies (10 CP).
In addition, there is the preparation of a scientific paper in one of the above-mentioned fields of study (15 CP) and the time for preparing and taking the first state examination (10 CP).

The application is made for two subjects: elementary school didactics and core subject. In elementary school didactics, the NC is 300 places to be awarded. Admission to most core subjects is also restricted.
