Faculty 09 comprises the subjects of chemistry, pharmacy, geosciences and geography and thus combines a natural science with a social science orientation. In terms of personnel and structure, it is one of the larger departments at Johannes Gutenberg University in Mainz. The seven institutes of the department are characterized by a modern infrastructure, innovative teaching methods and extensive interlinking of theoretical and practical elements within the course. International and interdisciplinary networking also has a special place here.
