With around 900 students, the Philosophical and Pedagogical Faculty is one of the university's third largest. The subject areas of education, psychology, philosophy, art, music, sport and work studies are united under the umbrella of the Faculty of Philosophy and Education. Almost 20 professors, a large number of academic staff and academic support staff ensure excellent student support. The primary school teacher training course is one of the three most popular courses at the university.
Interdisciplinarity is a top priority at the Philosophical-Pedagogical Faculty. The individual disciplines stimulate one another both in exchange with one another and in the range of courses. The heart of the PPF is aesthetic education, teaching and psychology. In a combination of these disciplines, students have the opportunity, for example, to pursue a career in school psychology. As part of the interdisciplinary bachelor's or master's degree, students can choose from the faculty's broad range of subjects and even across faculties by setting individual priorities. This ensures that you can “think outside the box”.
Furthermore, the courses at the PPF are characterized by a strong theory - practice - transfer. This in combination with the “thinking outside the box” enables the training of responsible, ethically reflective and far-sighted graduates.
