With Geography and Mathematics, the Faculty of Mathematics and Geography (MGF) covers core subjects at the Catholic University of Eichstätt-Ingolstadt. Mathematics offers undergraduate and graduate education at the Bachelor's and Master's levels with a focus on business mathematics and, in conjunction with economics and psychology, also for teacher training. Geography offers specializations in human geography (cultural and economic geography) with tourism, as well as in physical geography with environmental geography. In addition to a Bachelor's degree in Geography, students can specialize in tourism and regional planning or natural hazards and environmental processes at the Master's level. The MGF makes a significant contribution to professional teacher training in the fields of mathematics, geography, and biology education.
An interdisciplinary master's program in Education for Sustainable Development rounds out the broad range of courses offered at the faculty.
