Faculty of Computer Science

Computer science basically has a cross-sectional character and thus significantly influences other knowledge disciplines. In particular, the influence on energy efficiency, economical use of resources and sustainability should be emphasized. Correspondingly, the content and work objectives of computer science are oriented towards the main objectives of the Hof University of Applied Sciences, including "Green Tech".

In order to bundle the research activities of the faculty, the Institute for Information Systems (iisys) was created as one of the first institutes at a university of applied sciences in Bavaria.
