The faculty includes nine institutes and the Center for Transdisciplinary Gender Studies. It has a multidisciplinary orientation and integrates cultural, social and educational perspectives.
In teaching, the KSBF has a wide range of Bachelor's and Master's degree programs and is involved in several cooperative and international degree programs. KSBF is actively involved in the training of teachers. The faculty is characterized by close cooperative relations with the leading non-university humanities and social science research institutions in the Berlin area as well as with national and international partner institutions.
