Faculty of Social Sciences

the social sciences department at the Koblenz University of Applied Sciences offers practice-related courses in which, on a scientific basis, skills can be acquired that are necessary for successfully and professionally working specialists in social work and childhood education. A highly motivated team and committed employees ensure that you can acquire scientific knowledge and interdisciplinary skills. There is an opportunity to gain international, job-related experience during your studies, e.g. through excursions, internships abroad and international seminars.

Research, training and transfer

Two institutes are active in the field of further education, research and transfer: The Institute for Research and Further Education (IFW) conducts scientific further education and innovative research projects in social and educational fields of action and thus supports the transfer of knowledge between science and practice. The Institute for Education and Childcare | Rhineland-Palatinate (IBEB) aims to combine findings, concepts, knowledge and innovations of the university in mutual transfer and discourse with practice and politics.
