The Faculty of Psychology in the Mathematics and Natural Sciences department at TU Dresden sees itself as an empirical human science with a scientific-experimental focus. Due to its attractive, broad and clearly structured range of courses and a close network of basic and applied subjects, the Faculty of Psychology is very attractive to students. There are currently four times as many applicants applying to study psychology in Dresden as there are places available. In addition, an excellent research infrastructure and internationally renowned working groups offer young scientists the best starting conditions. In order to get closer to the common goal of understanding the cognitive, emotional, socio-cultural and neuronal processes that underlie human behavior and experience, the Faculty of Psychology maintains numerous collaborations with other disciplines (e.g. neuroscience, psychiatry, genetics, ergonomics, economics, educational science, computer science and philosophy).
