Faculty II comprises the subjects English, Computational Linguistics and Digital Humanities, German Studies (with the areas of German as a second and foreign language (DaZ / DaF), Yiddish Studies and Intercultural Gender Studies), Japanese Studies, Classical Philology, Media Studies, Phonetics, Romance Studies , Sinology and Slavic Studies.
The focus of the courses is on teacher training and the complementary Bachelor and Master courses.
The teaching and research focus is on digital humanities, East Asian studies, media and communication, European literature and linguistics, and North American studies.
