The Faculty of Natural and Environmental Sciences has developed a clear profile with the accredited “Life Sciences” course association and the master’s courses based on it. Scientific fundamentals form the basis for a number of socially highly topical issues that we address both in teaching and in research: How can technical environmental protection and corporate environmental management contribute to efficient and clean production and recycling? What role will biotechnology and chemistry play in future bioeconomy scenarios? How can questions of biodiversity and species protection be reconciled with questions of landscape planning and use? We devote ourselves to these and other topics not only in the faculty's modern laboratories, but also outdoors.
