Eastern Slavists deal with East Slavic languages (especially Russian, Ukrainian and Belorussian), the respective cultures and their respective literature. They are e.g. in editorial, adult education, translation, public relations, arts, cultural and business consulting or academia and teaching.

Responsibilities

East Slavists women can work in different fields. For example, they read, review and edit manuscripts in the publishing industry, develop new media products and look after authors. In scientific research and teaching

Classical scientific fields of activity in Eastern Slavic Studies are literary and linguistics as well as cultural and cultural studies. In literary studies, Eastern Slavists and Eastern Slavic women analyze and interpret, for example, Dramas, novels, poems or literary theoretical works. In linguistics, they deal with the structures of languages ​​and their use. In Cultural and Cultural Studies, they deal with historical, ethnic and political backgrounds, similarities and differences of the language areas and countries.

East Slavists record research findings in specialized articles or books, making them accessible to other scientists and students. At conferences and congresses they talk about their findings. In lectures, they impart knowledge to students, supervise scientific work and take exams.
