Business informatics, B.Sc.

Wirtschaftsinformatik

In a digitalized world, information and data play an increasingly important role for companies, institutions, and associations of all sizes and in all industries. Business information technology specialists enable this data to be analyzed, processed, and transformed into meaningful information that can be used for strategic decisions. Business information technology specialists thus form the interface between business administration and information technology.

They make a decisive contribution to increasing the efficiency and competitiveness of organizations by optimizing business processes, identifying new business opportunities, reducing costs, and driving the development of new technologies or the integration of existing technologies into existing business models. Business information technology specialists are thus drivers of innovation and thus advance society as a whole.

What you study

Students acquire in-depth knowledge in programming, databases, business information systems, and mathematical and formal languages to interpret data and model business processes. In addition to basic mathematical and elective modules, business administration modules round out the program and provide a fundamental understanding of business-related interrelationships. This enables students to better understand the requirements of companies and develop customized solutions. The skills acquired during the program, to understand and link technical and business aspects, open up a wide range of career opportunities in various industries and positions.

  • ×incorrectly made certified copies and translations
  • ×a wrong set of documents
  • ×the application submitted the wrong way
  • ×errors or gaps in the application form
  • ×the application submitted at the wrong time — too early or too late

An incomplete or incorrectly prepared application is excluded from the selection — it can no longer be corrected after the deadline.

University application portal

StudyInFocus does not represent the university and does not influence the admission decision. We do not sell study places and do not guarantee admission — this is a service for preparing and submitting documents on the applicant's side.

If your level is not enough yet

The two most common stoppers are a language level below the requirement and a certificate without direct admission. Both can be solved, but they take months — plan them now, not after a rejection.
