Physics, B.Sc.

Physik

The bachelor's degree in physics provides an overview of all areas of physics and familiarizes you with the theoretical and experimental foundations of the subject. The students are introduced to modern research topics and methods. The technical training is supplemented by a limited technical focus and the integration of key qualifications. In the first semesters, the fundamentals of physics are taught in basic modules. This is followed by a consistent profile development in advanced and special modules. It is possible to switch between the respective profiles later.

What you study

The 1-subject bachelor's degree comprises one subject (150 credit points). To strengthen the personal profile, there is also the individual supplementary area (30 CP), which accounts for one sixth of the entire scope of the course. The 1-subject bachelor's degree in physics concludes with a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) and provides an overview of all areas of physics and the theoretical and experimental foundations of the subject.

Career

After studying physics, there are many career opportunities, especially in business, at schools and universities and at research institutes. The professional perspective is currently excellent, because physicists are all-rounders due to their wide range of education and their interdisciplinary nature, who can be used as specialists to cope with a wide variety of tasks.

How to apply

You can submit the application yourself or with our help — the university decides on admission in both cases.

Apply yourself

Applications go through the university's portal or uni-assist. Typical mistakes:

  • ×incorrectly made certified copies and translations
  • ×a wrong set of documents
  • ×the application submitted the wrong way
  • ×errors or gaps in the application form
  • ×the application submitted at the wrong time — too early or too late

An incomplete or incorrectly prepared application is excluded from the selection — it can no longer be corrected after the deadline.

StudyInFocus does not represent the university and does not influence the admission decision. We do not sell study places and do not guarantee admission — this is a service for preparing and submitting documents on the applicant's side.

If your level is not enough yet

The two most common stoppers are a language level below the requirement and a certificate without direct admission. Both can be solved, but they take months — plan them now, not after a rejection.
