Would you like to pursue a full-time degree at a German university but don't yet have the necessary qualifications to be admitted to a full-time program? Participation in our Studienkolleg will help you obtain the necessary education!
Studienkollegs are designed to prepare prospective foreign students for a so-called assessment test (Feststellungsprüfung), which proves whether they meet the language and subject-specific requirements for their chosen field of study. Upon passing the test, the foreign applicant's level of knowledge is assumed to be comparable to that of German first-year students, allowing them to study at a German university.
The program consists of specialized courses that correspond to the prospective student's intended field of study.
The program at the Studienkolleg in the specialized courses lasts two semesters. In justified exceptional cases, the program can be shortened to one semester or extended by a maximum of two semesters. Each semester can only be repeated once. The program at the Studienkolleg concludes with the assessment test (Feststellungsprüfung). In this examination, foreign applicants demonstrate that they meet the language and subject-specific requirements for the field of study they are pursuing and are therefore eligible to study at a university in the Federal Republic of Germany.
