Applied Computer Science

University of Hildesheim

Undergraduate Summer Semester Winter Semester

The world is flooded with an unimaginable amount of information: the amount of data stored worldwide doubles every one and a half years. More and more data, more and more knowledge, more and more communication. It needs people who organize this flood of data, plan and implement suitable processes and suitable software - and involve all employees in the company.
This is where the bachelor's degree program in Applied Computer Science (B.Sc.) builds: It teaches how to manage large amounts of information and make it technically manageable. Students learn to understand, design, implement and implement appropriate IT systems and processes in companies. In addition, you will learn how to communicate these systems and processes to others and design IT systems so that they are intuitive and easy to use even by lay people. The bachelor program Applied Computer Science (B.Sc.) focuses on computer science and combines the basic knowledge gained there with application areas of business administration and information science. Even while studying, it is possible to focus on areas such as software engineering, artificial intelligence, intelligent information systems or media computer science.
