Business informatics combines content from business administration (BWL) and computer science with its own specific business informatics content. The content of the course and also the later professional fields of activity are very diverse: You deal, for example, with the IT-supported design of operational and inter-company processes as well as the analysis, storage and provision of relevant data for the tasks of the respective organization. You will also deal with information management, e.g. B. Strategies for IT support and digital transformation are developed and the cost-effectiveness of the information supply is checked.
Other areas of study and work are knowledge management and the development, selection and operation of operational and interorganizational information systems and decision support systems and systems to support cooperation (collaboration). The main focus is on systems that support operational tasks. But you also deal with systems that support administrative tasks and tasks between companies and private individuals.
