The core subject program (single-subject study + courses from the free elective area) "China - Tradition and Future" is a consecutive master's program lasting four semesters. It includes in-depth training in modern Mandarin Chinese, taking into account the current state of research in the field of digital media in China. Students also acquire basic skills in Classical Chinese, enabling them to understand both classical sources and sophisticated modern texts with classical elements. To better tailor the program to individual interests, three modules are available, allowing students to choose between the free elective area (Media Studies, Business Administration, Japanese Studies, Philosophy, etc.) and the supplementary area of Sinology.
