Eberhard Karls University of Tübingen

Graduate Winter Semester Summer Semester

The M.A. program in Sinology/Chinese Studies is a standalone postgraduate program based on a China-focused B.A. program. It consists of a major subject with a study duration of four semesters and concludes with the degree of Master of Arts. Tübingen's Sinology program uniquely combines expertise to examine China's role in the dynamics of globalization in the modern era (16th to 19th centuries) as well as in the modern era (20th to 21st centuries), including Taiwan, through research and teaching. This is done using philological-historical, cultural, social, and political science methods. The goal of the program is to acquire academically sound China expertise while taking current developments into account.
