Communication science is interested in the emergence and impact of media-mediated communication. So the focus of research is on mass communication through the mass media. The bachelor's degree at the Munich Institute for Communication Science and Media Research is not a practical media education, but an academic degree. Problems, correlations, structures and mechanisms of action in the mass media and public communication are analyzed on the basis of empirical research methods.
