Subjects of the master’s program in English/American Studies are the English language, its description and analysis in the context of current research, and the research-related study of Anglophone literature and cultures from the Middle Ages to the present day. The course offers extensive freedom of choice. The subject can be studied in its entirety, but there are also opportunities to specialize in the areas of linguistics or literature and cultural studies. One focus is the demanding practical language training, which requires a high level of foreign language skills right from the start of the course.
