Creating media experiences that can impact users' real lives and bring about real change is the focus of the English-taught Master's program in 'Expanded Media'. The focus of such new, transmedia media architectures is the personal experience: Users want to feel personally involved and seek to derive personal benefits from the media experience. Students work in international teams to develop media offerings that explore this potential. In interdisciplinary media productions, they combine real and media worlds of experience and develop a new media language based on the user/audience experience. In the three study specializations of Expanded Storyworlds, Expanded Sound & Music, and Expanded Realities, students have the opportunity to deepen their preferred strategies for conveying a personally meaningful experience to users.
