General Civil Engineering

Coburg University of Applied Sciences

Undergraduate Winter Semester

The course provides the prospective civil engineers with extensive basic knowledge in all disciplines of sustainable construction. The students can also acquire in-depth special knowledge in the specialization "structural engineering" or "infrastructure planning". You work on real-world tasks. In this way, they become familiar with the design, planning and construction processes. They get to know the economic and social connections of the profession and gain experience with the international nature of the construction industry.

The "General Civil Engineering" course is one of two branches of the civil engineering course. When enrolling, applicants choose a field of study. Until the end of the second semester, they have the opportunity to switch to the other field of study.

Study together - promote individually: The Coburger Weg

The civil engineering course is part of the model project "The Coburger Way". This means that the students start their studies together with fellow students from other courses with the first semester event "anCOmmen". They work across disciplines on projects with students from other fields of study and they can take advantage of special, individual advisory services. There are also study opportunities for them that deal with current social issues.
