Geophysics explores the Earth and near-Earth space with physical methods. The focus is on the physical properties (internal structure and composition of the earth, gravitational and magnetic field, ...) as well as the fundamental dynamic processes (earthquakes, volcanism, plate tectonics, dynamics of the oceans and the atmosphere ...).
In addition to geophysical basics, the bachelor's program provides solid knowledge in mathematics, experimental and theoretical physics as well as methodological knowledge in the field of data processing and programming. Geophysical internships, an international field course and interdisciplinary elective studies complete the curriculum. The standard period of study is 6 semesters. Upon successful completion, the degree "Bachelor of Science" (B. Sc.) Is awarded.
