Global Business and Economics

The degree programme Global Business Studies is taught entirely in English. Students get to know fundamental areas of business and economics and put these into an international context. In combination with outstanding English language skills, graduates of the study programme are best prepared for an international career.

We live in a globally interconnected world, where international relations are key to the success of most businesses. Many companies operate across borders and have worldwide branch offices as well as cooperation partners. Raw materials are imported from abroad and goods are produced in foreign countries. Global business therefore needs qualified specialists who are able to confidently move on international terrain, work on international teams and have excellent English language skills. Our degree programme Global Business and Economics is taught strictly in English and is oriented towards an international professional career after graduation. Students acquire fundamental and practice-oriented knowledge of economic sciences, e.g. in marketing, finance, economics, or business taxation, and all of this in an international and global context. The curriculum is supplemented by social competences and further foreign language courses. Over the course of study, students can select specialisation modules from a comprehensive catalogue, such as International Management Training or International Economics, thereby deciding where to lay their individual focus. In the fifth or sixth semester, students have the opportunity to study abroad for an additional semester. They can choose among more than 90 partner universities worldwide where they can deepen their intercultural competencies.
