Graduate Winter Semester

Cognitive, motivational, emotional and instructional processes Teaching and learning with media Teacher professionalism and heterogeneity

Pedagogues and teachers at schools, universities, day-care centers and other educational institutions are called upon in their everyday life to identify teaching-learning-related problems, to evaluate them critically and to deal with them in a solution-oriented and ethical manner. For this they need up-to-date and reliable knowledge about the conditions, the results and the promotion of teaching-learning processes. The master’s course trains students to research teaching-learning processes in formal educational contexts and to generate the knowledge required in practice.

The course is aimed equally at graduates of teacher training and bachelor’s courses with a close connection to empirical teaching and learning research (especially educational science, psychology, media and communication studies). It optimally prepares students for a scientific career in empirical teaching and learning research or a responsible position in educational practice.
