Master of Science (M.Sc.) Business Informatics

The master's degree in business informatics at the School of Business Informatics and Business Mathematics at the University of Mannheim was first offered in the fall semester of 2009. Since 2016, the program has been understood as a joint offer of the Faculties of Business Informatics and Business Mathematics as well as the Faculty of Business Administration (Area Information Systems). The master's program is held in English and concludes with the academic degree Master of Science (M.Sc.). The standard duration of study is 4 semesters.

Graduates of the "Master Business Informatics" are excellently prepared for a professional career in an international environment both in the field of research and in business. Competencies are trained in business informatics as well as computer science and business administration. The distribution of the three areas is determined by the student himself, depending on his professional goals and personal interests. Regardless of each of the selected in-depth lectures, the students learn how the collection, structuring, processing, provision, communication and use of data, information and knowledge can contribute to the design, control and monitoring of processes in companies and institutions.
