The medicine programme at the TU Dresden favours interdisciplinary, problem-oriented and small courses as well as the implementation of practice. The preclinical phase focuses on theoretical, scientific contents. Starting with the fifth semester, students are able to attend a clinical practice day, which integrates them into patient care as part of a team. Multimedia, eLearning and simulators offer excellent opportunities for training diagnostic techniques. Furthermore, cooperations with practices offer students the chance to collect actual insights into general medicine. By participating in the MD programme, students are able to extend their competences for independent scientific work. The transition into an international PhD programme is also possible. Furthermore, students are able to collect international experiences through various cooperations.
