In the dual, on-campus study program, prospective midwives acquire high-level scientific competencies for providing care and support to women and families throughout pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum period in both clinical and out-of-hospital settings. During practical placements at cooperating facilities, students gain comprehensive practical skills. Based on research priorities in the clinical and psychosocial fields, the fundamentals of scientific work are taught.
