The path from the live musical experience to audio production, be it CD, live stream or audio file, often seems trivial and self-evident: However, behind it lie complex processes whose design requires an artistic understanding. The HfM Detmold with its Erich Thienhaus Institute (ETI) is an international leader here. In the “Music Broadcasting/Sound Engineer” and “Music Direction/Sound Engineer” courses, she trains students to become sound engineers. The courses impart artistic-musical, technical, room acoustics and communicative skills. The students work closely with the artistic study programs and are given the opportunity to supervise the artistic admissions process right from the start.
