On the one hand, the course provides comprehensive basics in the field of business administration and, on the other hand, well-founded and practice-oriented skills in future-relevant subject areas. You can choose from the following three subjects early on in your studies: digital business, social management, human resources & organization.
The term sustainability is not generally defined. At the Faculty of Economics at Magdeburg-Stendal University of Applied Sciences, we orient ourselves in particular to selected UN Sustainable Development Goals. These fall into the areas of ecology, social affairs and economy (3-pillar model).
For our Sustainable Business Administration course, economic aspects are inevitably in the foreground. However, since ecological goals such as climate protection, affordable and clean energy require economic implementation, as well as social goals such as decent work and less inequality, all three pillars of the model for sustainability are addressed.
Students should develop an awareness of the problem of sustainable management and work out the first possible solutions for companies.
The following PDF shows which UN goals we deal with in the respective modules.
