Automation and process optimization engineer (m/f/d)
Tasks:
- Commissioning and optimization of optical image inspection systems and optical measuring instruments and their integration into the production processes
- Project-related development of automated solutions for production monitoring and quality assurance with a focus on optical imaging processes
- Participation in the development and practical implementation of optimized and partially automated production steps
- Application and implementation of statistical procedures for troubleshooting and avoiding errors in the production process
- Participation in the development and implementation of projects for process monitoring as well as for the optimization and refinement of the surfaces of polarizers on a glass basis
- Documentation and presentation of the results in the development team
Requirements:
- University degree or university of applied sciences in an engineering or natural science discipline or computer science / business informatics
- Knowledge of computer visualism and automated image processing
- Knowledge and experience in dealing with industrial image processing
- Knowledge of technical optics as well as optical imaging and measurement methods
- Knowledge of machine learning and statistical optimization methods
- ideally material science knowledge, especially of glass, as well as basic knowledge of surface properties and processes of surface modification
