Calculation engineer, simulation, charging and exhaust system (f / m / x)

Tasks and Responsibilities

At the BMW Group, we offer you an interesting job in the field of simulation of the charging and exhaust system of our vehicles. What can you expect? - You are responsible for the computational validation of the operational stability of charging and exhaust systems with the help of (non-) linear FE processes and for the optimization of your components. - Among other things, you will develop specifications for component design from thermo and structural mechanical simulation. - You link experiment and calculation to validate calculation models and to supplement calculation results. - You continuously develop methods for modeling, calculation, evaluation, vulnerability analysis and optimization. - The care of external suppliers and development partners rounds off your diverse range of tasks. Requirements and expectations

  • Completed studies in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, industrial mathematics, physics or a comparable degree.
  • First experiences in the field of (non-) linear FE methods with ABAQUS and NASTRAN, especially in the needs-based modeling of complex components.
  • Knowledge of mechanics, optimization, durability as well as scientific method work.
  • Safe handling of the operating systems LINUX, UNIX and Windows.
  • Fluent in German and English.
  • Analytical thinking and a structured way of working.
