Tasks:

• You actively design the demanding path from international supplier research to material qualification and transfer to production;
• You evaluate and develop existing and new material suppliers with a focus on quality improvement and cost reduction;
• You test new materials extensively in self-developed test series and evaluate the results. Our production-related manufacturing equipment and extensive measuring and weathering equipment are available for this;
• For the qualification of new materials, you also involve external development resources (e.g. at universities and institutes);
• You work across departments with purchasing, quality, production and external partners;
• You create and update product specifications and drawings;
• They support production in the continuous improvement and industrialization of new materials as well as in the transfer to new factories.

Requirements:

• You have successfully completed your university degree in materials science, mechanical engineering, physics, semiconductor physics, semiconductor technology, chemistry or alternatively you have a degree as a technician in the field of materials science (including glass, plastics, metals) with several years of professional experience;
• You also have extensive project management experience;
• Your way of working is characterized by creativity, a strong understanding of technical problems and analytical thinking;
• You work independently, goal-oriented and are a team player with good communication skills;
• Ideally you have experience in construction (CAD knowledge) and in the area of ​​finite element method (FEM);
• You are ready for occasional national and international travel;
• Good spoken and written English and German skills round off your profile.
