DEVELOPMENT ENGINEER OPTICS / SENSOR TECHNOLOGY OR PHYSICIST (M / F / D)

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • You are part of a development team for sophisticated customer-specific optical sensors
  • In your role as an experienced engineer (m / f / d) you are responsible for the development of the optical part of the sensors
  • You independently develop optoelectronic assemblies for optical sensors for industrial automation
  • You support the implementation of customer-specific applications, especially from the life science and semiconductor industries
  • You accompany customer projects with a high degree of dynamism up to start-up production
  • You enjoy working with other departments and exchanging ideas with the global Balluff development network
  • You are actively involved in the dynamic project work and proactively help to implement customer requirements within the given time frame

Requirements and expectations

  • Ideally, you have several years of professional experience in the field of optics development or have already gained your first professional experience beyond your studies
  • Completed degree in physics, electrical engineering or similar
  • Solid knowledge of optics and the application of optical semiconductor components
  • Ideally experience with photoelectric sensors
  • Experience with optics simulation programs (e.g. Zemax)
  • High technical creativity and outstanding analytical skills
  • Laboratory experience with optical measurement technology
  • Conscientious and efficient way of working, both alone and in a team
  • Good analytical skills and high level of technical creativity
  • You are experienced in dynamic project work
  • You are a communicative team player
  • Secure communication in written and spoken German and English
