The Sports and Physical Activity Office manages the sports facilities, coordinates the building maintenance and is responsible for the planning and development of sports facilities. The stadium, the large sports hall and the swimming pools of the city of Rüsselsheim am Main belong to this area as well as the support of the sports clubs and their members. With around 80 sports clubs and over a hundred different sports, the city of Rüsselsheim am Main has a sports infrastructure that is used by more than 20,000 athletes.
Tasks:
- Planning of sports facilities and participation in development planning recreational, sports and recreational facilities
- Update of the sports development plan of the city Rüsselsheim am Main
- Control and administration of the large sports hall and the baths with a total of 24 employees
- Planning sports events and offers
- Development of sports promotion measures
- Cooperation with sports associations and sports clubs
- Consulting in all sports and technical areas
- Household application and planning, reporting and evaluation of cost accounting
Requirements:
To take over this area of responsibility, you need a degree in business administration or a comparable qualification with experience in the sports sector as well as several years of professional and managerial experience, which you have acquired in the public administration if possible. Administrative knowledge and knowledge of the project-related working methods are expected. Negotiation and organizational skills as well as the ability to networked thinking are indispensable. Advantageous would be knowledge of the Rüsselsheim sports infrastructure, the club world and the understanding of volunteer activities and political connections. We also assume the willingness to work outside of normal working hours and on weekends.
