The Heidelberg University Hospital is one of the largest medical centers in Germany, whose medical departments are equipped with the latest imaging technology. The range of services offered by the Nuclear Medicine Department includes nuclear medicine therapies in addition to the usual diagnostic methods. The equipment of the Heidelberg University Hospital includes, among other things, 2 PET / CT devices and 4 gamma cameras, with which we ensure the care of our patients and also advance the imaging and therapy of tomorrow in research and development. We also operate a therapy station with 8 beds.
Tasks:
- Optimizing the radiation protection of nuclear medicine examinations and therapies
- Selection of the equipment, devices and devices to be used
- Quality assurance of radiation protection requirements and monitoring of compliance with the diagnostic reference values using a dose management system for internal quality assurance and for research projects
- Research on dosimetry, image analysis
- Investigation of events
- Taking care of the decay system
- To a limited extent, IT department representative

- Completed university studies z. B. Medical technology
- Specialist in the field of nuclear medicine according to radiation protection law
