Within our research and development of tires in Hanover (Stöcken plant), we act as a global testing organization responsible for developing and implementing precise testing methods. We develop these methods together with our customers from various research and development departments. For our innovative chemical laboratory, we are looking for a motivated polymer or synthetic chemist (m/f/d) for the following exciting tasks:

• Independent planning and execution of chemical syntheses on a laboratory scale
• Participation in evaluating synthetic routes and developing scenarios for industrialization
• Characterization of intermediates and target molecules
• Documentation of laboratory results
• Development and further improvement of synthesis concepts
• Participation in planning and performing standard laboratory tasks
• Assistance in conducting patent searches and filing new patents
• Creation and maintenance of process descriptions
• Participation in projects and working groups

• Chemist with completed doctorate, initial professional experience desirable
• Experience in synthetic chemistry (polymer synthesis) as well as with modern separation and characterization methods
• Knowledge of industrial property rights is desirable
• Knowledge of tire and rubber technology is desirable
• Experience in interdisciplinary projects
• Additional qualification in occupational safety is desirable
• Intercultural competence as well as clear and open communication
• Strong problem-solving skills and interest in advancing topics
• Excellent German and good English language skills, both written and spoken
• High level of commitment, ability to work independently, creative thinking, and communication skills
