Tasks and Responsibilities

  • You provide technical leadership to an SE team responsible for series support of low-voltage batteries (12V/48V) and E/E components.
  • You represent the components to module management and align on appropriate targets.
  • You own target achievement across attributes, cost, weight, quality, and timing.
  • You run change, issue, and quality management for the respective components.
  • You handle technical releases and maintain component documentation.
  • You manage and coordinate our supplier to meet objectives.
  • You report to the sub-project and module leads.

Requirements and expectations

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or a comparable field
  • At least 3 years of relevant automotive experience plus proven component ownership
  • Several years working with BMW, preferably on central control units and/or E/E components
  • Hands-on experience in preventive and reactive quality work and supplier management
  • Language skills per CEFR: German C1, English B2
  • Proficiency with tools such as gAMS, FLS, OCTANE, and PQM
  • Strong communication skills: targeted messaging and clear explanations of complex topics
  • Confident presence and assertiveness to fulfill the role effectively
  • Strong team orientation when collaborating with colleagues and customers
  • Meticulous execution and consistent, traceable documentation
