Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Create and represent mechatronic system concepts in the early development phase, taking into account the boundary conditions of performance, timing and costs
  • create the system break-up and carry out the balancing of the system specification, as well as derive the resulting requirements and coordinate them with all relevant stakeholders down to the subsystem level.
  • Generate development strategies for your area of responsibility as well as secure the developed system concepts with feasibility studies, simulations and suitable key experiments.
  • Lead the multidisciplinary mechatronics team assigned to you professionally, represent your issues to customers and external bodies and ensure the IP strategy in your work area.
  • Support
  • in the preparation of planning and cost calculations and help ensure compliance

Requirements and expectations

  • a very good university degree in mechanical engineering, mechatronics precision engineering or a comparable discipline
  • Several years of relevant experience in the development and construction of highly complex mechatronic systems and, thanks to their knowledge in the fields of technical mechanics, mechatronics as well as actuators and sensors, can demonstrate a broad system understanding
  • Knowledge and skills of suitable modeling and simulation methods (Matlab / Simulink, FEM, network models, ...) for the design of complex systems
  • Already several years of experience in the technical management of multidisciplinary teams
  • a high degree of flexibility, show initiative and have a methodical, structured way of working
  • very good communication skills and business fluent English skills
