The US Embassy in Berlin is looking for suitable and qualified applicants for the position of Supervisor Security / Reconnaissance / Personal Protection (m/f/d) [official title: Senior Foreign Service National Investigator (m/f/d)].

In this role, you are the contact person for the Regional Security Office (RSO), as well as for law enforcement and security authorities. You advise the RSO and mission management, particularly with regard to security programs that require extensive national coordination and may be particularly complex or demanding due to the local environment. In addition, you oversee the department and the range of investigations conducted, including monitoring security investigations and directly conducting special and sensitive cases. You ensure the protection of U.S. government personnel and representatives and are responsible for long-term strategic planning of security and law enforcement initiatives.

You have a secondary school diploma or a university degree in the field of law enforcement, criminology or an equivalent recognized qualification. In addition to your training, you have already gained experience in the areas of investigating and conducting professional, complex and high-profile cases (e.g. in the areas of fraud or crime).
