Speaker political coordination / fundamental questions / representation of interests

The German Savings Banks and Giro Association (DSGV) is the professional and central association of the savings bank finance group. There are 371 savings banks, five Landesbank groups, DekaBank, eight Landesbausparkassen, ten primary insurance groups of the savings banks and numerous other financial services companies.

For our department Savings Bank Policy and Banking Supervision we are looking for a speaker (m / f / d) Political Coordination / Policy Issues / Representation of interests II at the earliest opportunity.

• Support of the political interest representation of the DSGV
• Maintenance and expansion of the interest representation network with a focus on the Sparkassen-Finanzgruppe
• Participation in the analysis of the political environment and the need for intervention
  and possibilities
• Preparing the content and organization of parliamentary meetings
• Maintaining contacts and representing interests vis-à-vis politics, ministries, parliamentary groups, Bundestag offices, state parliaments, Federal Council etc.
• Supervision of the content of savings bank policy issues
• Professional support for group-relevant legislative procedures
• Drafting of statements of the DSGV and the German credit industry (DK) and coordination with members and DK associations
• Technical and content-related support for the activities of international and European institutions, including preparatory work for our EU representative office in Brussels

• University degree in economics or law with a banking focus or comparable qualification
• Professional experience in politics and possibly decentralized organizations
• Knowledge and understanding of political decision-making processes
• Open-mindedness towards all relevant political camps
• Very good analytical skills, strong conceptual thinking
• Confident demeanor, very good communication skills
• Fluent written and spoken English, other language skills would be an advantage
