The position is to be filled in the Clinic for Ear, Nose and Throat Medicine in the Phoniatrics and Pediatric Audiology Division as soon as possible. The main focus of the Phoniatrics and Pediatric Audiology Division is the diagnosis and treatment of children's hearing disorders, in particular pediatric audiological confirmation diagnostics and the provision of hearing systems and hearing implants. In addition, other areas of focus are the diagnosis and therapy of speech and voice disorders, phonosurgical interventions, rehabilitation after surgical interventions in the head and neck area and the treatment of speech and swallowing disorders in diseases of the head and neck area and neurogenic speech -, speech and swallowing disorders.
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Implementation, evaluation and documentation of language development tests from toddler to school age for children with hearing disorders and cleft lip and palate as well as for children with SEV / SES / SEB
- Implementation, evaluation and documentation of test procedures for cognitive disorders including the implementation of tests to evaluate reading and spelling skills
- Advice for parents of hearing impaired children on early hearing and language support
- Diagnosis and therapy of functional, organic and psychogenic voice disorders
- Diagnosis and therapy of swallowing disorders as well as tracheostomy tube management, especially after tumor diseases in the head and neck area
- Interdisciplinary cooperation with doctors, early intervention centers, rehabilitation facilities and resident therapists
Requirements and expectations
- You have completed vocational training or a degree as a speech therapist or speech therapist, clinical linguistics or special education (SP hearing and communication) or comparable.
- You have experience in advising and dealing with hearing-impaired (all ages) and tracheostomized / laryngectomized patients and their relatives.
- You have already gained experience in the independent implementation of speech and speech examinations as well as in the diagnosis and therapy of voice and swallowing disorders.
- You have basic knowledge of quality management.
- You enjoy the interdisciplinary cooperation.
- You show flexibility and willingness to work as well as the will to expand your knowledge and skills.
