In the Center for Languages and Intercultural Competence, two positions are to be filled full-time (19 hours per week) for the summer semester 2022:
Teacher for special tasks as an employee (m / f / d) German as a foreign language
Tasks:
- Development and implementation of language courses face-to-face at the Hof and Münchberg locations and, if necessary, online in consultation with the responsible university lecturers and the management of the language center - In German: General language A1- C2 level; Technical language courses
- Conception, approval and correction of exams and grading procedures as well as DAAD language tests
- Supervision of TestDaF exams
- Advice and support for students
- Cooperation with internal university institutions
- Participation in the recruitment and technical and didactic support of lecturers
- Assumption of tasks in the field of academic self-administration
Requirements:
- Native German language skills or C2 level
- English as a second language
- In-depth knowledge of foreign language didactics and the development of curricula
- At least one and a half years of teaching experience, if possible in the university sector
- Mastery of modern teaching and communication technologies such as Moodle, Zoom
- Excellent communication skills, the ability to work in a team and intercultural competence (ideally proven through a longer stay abroad)
- Sense of responsibility, empathy and enjoyment of teaching a foreign language as well as dealing with students
- Experience with TestDaF exams is desirable
Employment requirements:
- A successfully completed university degree in DaF or German studies; If you have the necessary knowledge, you can also study at a university related to foreign language teaching. For foreign university degrees, a certificate assessment from the Central Office for Foreign Education (ZAB)
- Pedagogical aptitude, the proof of this is i.a. to be provided by a trial lesson
- At least 3 years of full-time employment outside the university sector
