Composer in Germany

Composers realize musical ideas for performers and for new media. According to the specifications of their clients or according to their own ideas, they develop tone sequences and tone and sound combinations and record these in musical notation or, if necessary, other special types of notation, e.g. for electronic compositions. Her composition work includes not only traditional pieces of music, but also, for example, sound design for computer games and web applications as well as sound for film and television productions, sound installations and multimedia works. Depending on the genre, they present the finished composition to their clients, accept requests for changes and incorporate them. In addition, they sometimes develop the performance in joint rehearsals. They offer non-commissioned compositions to potential buyers such as publishers, opera houses, orchestras, film studios or advertising agencies. With special ensembles they create new types of events and compose for them.
