Faculty of Social Sciences

With the research and teaching areas of social work, nursing and health, leisure sciences, political management and journalism, Faculty 3 forms a hub for social science thinking and working at the University of Bremen.

Studies

The faculty offers five bachelor courses and two master courses. Doctoral degrees take place through cooperation with universities.

Research

Seven academic institutes are supported by the faculty or are associated with it. Members of the faculty are involved in the research clusters Quality of Life, "Seafaring 2040", "Mobile Life" and "Region in Change" of the University of Bremen.

Internationality

International cooperation becomes a real profile of the Faculty 3 through lively cooperation with our partner universities, the internationalization of teaching and an extensive exchange of lecturers and students. The Faculty's International Relations Office (IRO) serves as the contact person here

Practice cooperation

In addition to research and teaching, the Faculty of Social Sciences in the sense of an applied university is networked with numerous local and national practice partners in numerous cooperations.
