The HAWK is a state university in Lower Saxony with more than 6,000 students. The university is regionally anchored and maintains excellent networks throughout Germany and the world. Its roots, which date back to the 19th century in Holzminden, for example, are where it all started.
Since its official foundation as a technical college (today a university of applied sciences and arts) in 1971, the HAWK has always kept up with the times. The 41 study programmes at the university are a good example of this.
