The Schmalkalden University of Applied Sciences offers a wide range of study programmes under the umbrella of the five faculties Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Business and Economics and Business Law. The university’s practical relevance and good equipment are the most frequently mentioned reasons when it comes to choosing Schmalkalden as a place to study. Forms of training such as project-based learning and practical training phases are just as natural as small learning groups and personal contacts between lecturers and students.

All degree programmes offer a wide range of possibilities to go and study abroad. The Schmalkalden University of Applied Sciences has a dense network of over 70 cooperations worldwide that covers even Australia. A particular highlight is the possibility to obtain a double degree at one of SUAS’s partner university abroad. Students of the IBE master programme may obtain a second MBA degree in the USA, Canada or Spain.

The Schmalkalden University is a university of applied sciences in Thuringia. It is idyllically situated at the edge of the Thuringian forest. The green campus is one of the most beautiful university campuses in Thuringia and in Germany. The lecture rooms, laboratories, dining hall, library, dormitories and sport’s facilities are all within easy-walking distance.
