These are the group lessons; 10 one-to-one lessons a week come on top. In high season the group may study in the afternoon — 14:30–18:00.
A lesson (UE, Unterrichtseinheit) lasts 45 minutes.
Every week a new programme of 3 activities to choose from: social gatherings, cultural events, sports or sightseeing trips in Berlin and around. It is posted on the school's notice board every Monday; joining is optional. An activity with fewer than 3 participants is cancelled.

A week of accommodation is 6 nights: arrival on Sunday, departure on Saturday. In summer a supplement of €60 a week applies — 22.06–23.08.
For the visa an address for the whole stay matters. If you look for housing yourself, allow two weeks for it before applying at the consulate.
Starts can be booked from 2 weeks ahead — that is the time it takes to book the place and arrive.
All levels start every Monday. Absolute beginners (no German at all) start only on these dates — about once a month:
Cancellations in writing only, after the 14-day statutory withdrawal period. Not refunded: the school's invitation letter (€90), courier and visa services once provided. No refund for no-shows, late arrival or early departure.
These terms apply only to bookings through us — the school does not offer them directly. The course price is the same.

BWS Germanlingua has been teaching German according to CEFR standards since 1984, with schools located in the heart of Berlin, Munich and Cologne.

We work with this school under an agreement and book places directly. You sign the tuition contract with the school and pay the course to the school, by its own invoice. We do not accept money for tuition.
If someone asks you to pay for the course to anyone other than the school, it is not us. The payment details are always in the school's invoice.
A language course is step 5: language. It comes after the audit and the documents but before the exam and the application. Plan it backwards from your application date.
In 30 minutes we will compare your level, your application date and your budget. If this course is more than you need, or won't get you to the required level in time, we will say so and suggest an alternative.
