Step 3 of the method · choosing a programme

Degree programmes in Germany and Austria

Bachelor's, master's and Staatsexamen programmes with their requirements and deadlines. Choose here rather than from the list of universities: the requirements, language and deadline are set by the programme and differ even within one university.

How to read the cut-off grade (NC)

NC is not a threshold but the result of last year's competition: the university took the best average grades while places lasted. The number shows the order of magnitude, not a promise. Programmes without NC admit everyone who meets the formal requirements.

Your programme is not in the list?

The catalogue shows programmes whose requirements and deadlines we keep checked, not the whole German register. We will convert your certificate to the German scale, check language and deadlines and leave 3–5 options you actually qualify for — including ones not listed here.
