Will I get in
The programme has an admission restriction: the average grade of your certificate, converted to the German scale, decides. The cut-off changes every year — last year's value shows the order of magnitude, not a promise.
How the selection works and how strong the competition is — we go through it against your certificate when we select programmes for you.
Programme selection →About the programme
In the age of 4.0 technologies, the boundaries between information technology and organisation are becoming increasingly blurred. Organisational strength and communication skills are becoming more and more important as digitalisation progresses: Applicants as well as employees must not only have technical qualifications and skills, but should also be capable of designing processes and implementing projects. In order to do justice to the complexity of the processes, the necessary interdisciplinary knowledge from the areas of computer science and business administration is imparted in this degree programme. However, the topic of digitalisation is not only interesting in terms of the labour market. Digitalisation also offers a range of exciting topics with regard to research activities. Whether Big Data, Industry 4.0, Social Media Analytics or E-Learning, the spectrum of research topics is limitless.
What you study
The programme is designed as a consecutive programme for graduates of seven-semester Bachelor programmes in Business Informatics/Computer Science and Business Administration and related subjects. Students work on an interdisciplinary project during the first and second semesters, which usually takes place in cooperation with a company. The topic of digitalisation is examined here, for example. In this way, students gain concrete experience in the organisation and implementation of interdisciplinary projects. A project-accompanying module in the first semester enables a research link to the exemplary knowledge in the master project to be established. In the ‘Current Research’ module, students are also introduced to various research methods. Students write their master thesis in the third semester. The chosen topic confirms the orientation of the major focus.

How to apply
You can submit the application yourself or with our help — the university decides on admission in both cases.
Applications go through the university's portal or uni-assist. Typical mistakes:
- ×incorrectly made certified copies and translations
- ×a wrong set of documents
- ×the application submitted the wrong way
- ×errors or gaps in the application form
- ×the application submitted at the wrong time — too early or too late
An incomplete or incorrectly prepared application is excluded from the selection — it can no longer be corrected after the deadline.
StudyInFocus does not represent the university and does not influence the admission decision. We do not sell study places and do not guarantee admission — this is a service for preparing and submitting documents on the applicant's side.
If your level is not enough yet
The two most common stoppers are a language level below the requirement and a certificate without direct admission. Both can be solved, but they take months — plan them now, not after a rejection.
